FireCracker Fun Fly 2010

Bend Aero Modelers presents its Annual FireCracker Fun Fly for 2010.  Event will run from Friday July 23rd to Sunday July 25th. On Saturday the Public is invited to come watch the fun as the Fun Fly will present demonstration flights from various facets of the hobby. Saturday Morning starts with Pylon Demo's, Pulse Jet, Turbine Jet, IMAC Style Aerobatics, Electrics and open flying for AMA members. Field will be open to the public at noon till 12:45 for pictures and to chat with the pilots.

Open Fun Fly on Friday afternoon and Sunday, Saturday will be open fun flying with demo's, plus a short fun fly competition event. Prizes awarded for pilot participants.

Field Details

Popp's Field is blacktop, 30 feet wide and 550 feet long with 150 feet of mat material for landings with aircraft that have no gear such as sailplanes. Mat may be used for takeoff's and landings with the exception of no Turbine Takeoffs from the mat.

RV's Tents are welcome. There are no hookup's

Food Service

As of this date, we plan on having food services available for Saturday.  Beverages and Foods will be available on site for purchase. Still in negotiations with vendor and food services may be available all weekend
