Oregon Jet's

R/C Jet Models

Genesis

After attending Jet's Over Whidbey in 2005 two of us were more determined than ever to make our turbine dreams come true and what better reinforcement than to get involved with your close friends.  Up to this time, there were only two AMA waiver qualified pilots in the whole state of Oregon, and getting help was a huge deal, hours of driving, countless emails, not to mention what's required to get set up for the waiver test.  The number of guys that were interested grew, and today we have six Central Oregon waiver approved guys that are into the turbine jet scene, along with three others in the state for a total of eight in the group.  Not all of the nine statewide waiver holders are involved with Oregon Jets, but the core guys from Bend figured it was the best way to keep in touch, and keep interest high, helping each other with our projects. It's great fun and has really got the interest peaked, with the newest addition to the group coming onboard in August of 09.  We all fly different types of aircraft, but share the common goal that makes the jet community such a great group of people to associate with.

Mission

We hope to continue to grow the sport in the State of Oregon by doing instruction, helping with the waiver plus just lending a hand when needed and keeping the jet interests in Oregon informed of planned activities and events.

Special thanks to the Washington group, without them none of this would have been possible.
