A support group for the RC jet modeler's of Oregon. With only a handful of jet enthusiasts and just two waiver holders in the state at the time, getting information on this facet of the hobby was difficult at best. Starting by following a dream, several of us pursued the elusive turbine waiver being forced to get assistance from others throughout the pacific northwest. Having completed the waiver requirements several other modelers from our local group became inspired and chose to follow becoming part of this exciting sport.
Oregon Jet's is not an AMA chartered group, and while most in our group are members with Bend Aero Modelers, membership in BAM is not required. Our specific interest are in model turbine operations, however we have those in the group that do not fly turbine models, are not waiver holders, but do have an interest in jet aircraft and have pursued the path of ducted fans. We hope you find this site both informative and useful in your quest to make your dreams come true.

In April 2008 four Bend Aero Modeler pilots made the trek to Shelton Washington to become Oregon's newest waiver holders, and with this a new dream to create a support group dedicated to helping, inspiring, supporting, communicating all aspects of turbine model operations. An emphasis on safety of operations, communicating events and news in our region, keeping all waiver holders in the state abreast of activities and concerns in our area. |
